I have published a new version of my application Unicode Character Informer, which shows the codepoint, official Unicode description, and Unicode block of any Unicode character you copy to clipboard. The main new feature of this version (compared to the original 1.0.0.0) is that the new version supports all Unicode 8 codepoints, including those beyond the BMP; the previous version supported an older Unicode version, and was, in addition, restricted to the BMP.
